Turbo exchange: This option requires to ship your stock IHI IS38 (Golf 7 R, Leon Cupra 5F, Audi S3 8V, Audi TTS 8V) turbocharger and it is mandatory that your turbo has no cracks or damage in the turbine and compressor housings. Your order will be processed after we receive and check your turbocharger, if your cartridge is damaged there is an additional cost for replacing it with a new one, in this case, you will be informed via e-mail or phone call. The hybrid IS470 turbocharger that you will receive has the following brand new parts: large billet compressor wheel, large turbine wheel. The compressor and turbine housings are refurbished IHI, after being thoroughly checked and then is machined with the appropriate tolerance in CNC machines in order to work with the large wheels.
Refurbished: With this option, you will receive a hybrid IS470 turbo that has the following brand new parts: large billet compressor wheel, large turbine wheel, cartridge with more durable thurst bearings. The compressor and turbine housings are refurbished borg warner, after being thoroughly checked and then is machined with the appropriate tolerance in CNC machines in order to work with the IS470 large wheels.
New: With this option, you will get an IS470 Hybrid turbo which is based in a brand new IHI I38 turbocharger which is then converted to an IS470.
The R-TMG relief valve
The R-TMG relief valve is made from billet aluminum 6082, can be chosen as a closed type or open type in different anodized colors. The open type relief valve extinguishes the air in the environment with a smooth sound (when we release the throttle). The closed type relief valve recycles the air in the turbocharger intake in a more silent way. Both of them behave better than the factory one, protecting the turbocharger in high-pressure conditions and steep load variations. Furthermore, the valve piston is made from metal
in contrast with the factory one that is made from plastic making it vulnerable and nally break in high pressures causing even the destruction of the turbocharger.
Τhe package includes all the necessary spare parts such us the Solenoid, Bracket, Boost Tap, Zip Ties, Screws. The R-TMG relief valve operation is ideal and there are no check engine lights.
The color option refers to the blow-off valve.
We machine and manufacture all parts in our CNC HAAS milling VF4 4 -Axis machine and our CNC HAAS turning SL20 3 – Axis machine, made in the USA, with 0.001mm accuracy. The turbocharger calibration is made in the REDAT machine, constructed in Italy, with 0.8-1.0 G Force accuracy.

The compressor wheel is manufactured out of solid (billet) high-quality aluminum. The upgraded “gen 2” compressor wheel is much larger than the stock unit and thus has greatly improved flow characteristics while maintaining low weight due to it’s construction and alloy.
The turbine wheel and shaft are much larger than the stock as well. This improves the turbine exhaust gas flow and reduces backpressure. The reduced back pressure allows for more ignition timing and an overall broader torque curve. The IS470 is a bolt-on for power and torque gains with the appropriate supporting mods.
The design of the wheels might change due to product upgrades.
*Reconditioned turbos are purchased used, checked and reconstructed. In case a defect is detected, which cannot be checked by RTMG machines, you have to return the turbo to us and we will replace it with another reconditioned (if there is in stock), or we can replace it with a new hybrid turbo, in this case, you need to pay us the balance, or you send us your own turbo stock to rebuild it (if it is in a situation where it is allowed to be rebuilt) and we return the financial difference that arises.
